UN condemns attack against Afghan Kandahar airport

KABUL, Dec. 10 (MNA) – The UNAMA today condemned the Afghan Insurgent attack against an airport in Kandahar province that left 54 dead.

In a statement released in this capital, the UN Assistance Mission for Afghanistan announces that 39 civilians died, including four children, and 23 others were injured in that deadly action.

According to the source, the Taliban began an attack on Tuesday against a NATO and Afghan forces' military complex.

Reports say insurgents opened fire at clients and sellers, and later extended the attack to the area where relatives of Afghan security forces and airport technicians are living.

According to UNAMA, a total of 54 were killed, and 42 injured, including policemen and soldiers.
